Welcome to Mountain Shadows Massage & Bodywork!

   We are Tara and Joshua! We moved to Colorado from Wisconsin in December 2017 and have been really enjoying the climate and the quick access to so many amazing places in nature. We love to hike and explore the area. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to move to Colorado Springs!

    Joshua grew up in Ohio. He lived in Wisconsin for 6 years and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since May 2013. In 2020 he completed training to become a Registered Yoga Instructor, by Christine Malmborg, at City Rock COS and is excited to share his knowledge with all who are interested. Tara grew up in New Hampshire. She lived in Wisconsin for 11 years and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since May 2015 and a Reiki Practitioner since August 2012.

   We both graduated from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork in Grafton, Wisconsin. With over 850 hours of training each, we loved our school and the program and have been very grateful for the amazing education we received. After Blue Sky each of us began working at The Kohler Waters Spa in Kohler, Wisconsin, a Forbes 5 Star rated Spa. At Kohler we had the opportunity to work on many clients right out of gate, giving us much needed experience. We worked alongside a large team of therapists who have been in the field for a long time, giving us guidance and support as we started on our path to becoming the therapists we are now. Tara also had a small private practice right away, getting to work with clients regularly. Another main aspect of what we gained at Kohler was extensive training in a high level of customer service and hospitality. 

   With the training and experience we have, we intend to deliver a therapeutic experience that not only soothes muscles, increases range of motion, and improves your quality of life, but one that also gives you a well deserved break from your daily life.
