Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions not answered here or would like clarification on any aspect of a massage session. Communication is key to a great experience. 

Q) What type of massage do you offer?

A)  Our Custom Massage blends therapeutic work with relaxation and is tailored to your needs. You and your therapist will decide which areas to focus on and whether you prefer a more therapeutic or relaxation-focused session.

We also offer:

  • Hot Stone Massage: Primarily a relaxation experience. Not recommended if you want a therapeutic session.
  • Sports/Recovery Massage: Fully therapeutic, including assessment, myofascial release, targeted Neuromuscular Therapy, and stretching, without relaxation elements.
  • Prenatal Massage: Similar to our Custom Massage but with specialized bolstering to ensure full support and comfort during pregnancy.

Q) Do you accept walk-ins?

A)  No, we do not take walk-in appointments. All appointments must be scheduled in advance. 

Q) How early should I arrive?

A)  5 minutes early to right on time is great. We schedule enough time for the intake process so you will receive the full amount of hands-on time for your session. 

Q) How do I access the intake form?

A) Our intake form is available here to print and fill out at home. If you do not have a printer we will have the intake form for you to fill out in office.

Q) Will my massage time be the full session amount?

A)  Yes. We schedule additional time for intake so you receive the full hands-on time. This applies if you arrive on time. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session so we can remain on schedule for the next client.

Q) What forms of payment do you take?

A) We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We take HSA/FSA cards. We do not bill insurance but we can provide itemized receipts to be submitted for reimbursement. 

Q) What is your cancellation policy?

A) If you cancel your appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled time then you will not be charged. If you cancel within 24 hours you will be charged the full amount of the service. Exceptions for inclement weather and emergencies are case by case.

Q) Do you talk during the session?

A) The amount of conversation is entirely up to you. Many clients prefer silence to fully relax, while others enjoy light conversation. We follow your lead and will only speak as needed about your comfort or the session. You’re always welcome to talk or simply relax in quiet. Your comfort is our priority.

Q) What should I wear for my massage appointment?

A) Comfortable clothing is recommended, especially since you’ll be changing back into it afterward. If you’re coming from work or wearing something less comfortable, that’s perfectly fine.

For a standard massage, you’ll be asked to undress to your comfort level. Many clients choose to fully disrobe, while others prefer to keep undergarments on. Professional draping techniques are always used to ensure your privacy and comfort. We can work around clothing as needed, and your comfort and safety are always our priority. Please speak up at any time if you feel uncomfortable.

Q) What kind of oil/lotion do you use in your treatments?

A) We use massage cream. We use a brand called Sacred Earth Botanicals. It is a vegan, organic, hypoallergenic, unscented cream that feels wonderful on the skin. 

Q) Do you use essential oils?

A) Yes. We often diffuse essential oils and may use them for inhalation during your session to enhance relaxation. We do not apply essential oils directly to the skin. Please let us know if you have sensitivities or scent preferences, we’re happy to adjust.

Q) Do you work with minors?

A) Clients under 16 must have a parent/guardian in the room; clients 16–17 must have a parent/guardian on the premises. Please notify us ahead of time when scheduling a minor.
